Ocean Builders, based in Panama, has created new pods for living on the water and on land. These Futuristic homes float above the Sea.
The pods combine the best in architecture with cutting-edge green technology to provide homes that are both sustainable and comfortable.
These Futuristic Homes That Float Above The Sea
There are three models available, all of which were designed by Dutch architect Koen Olthuis.
The first is the SeaPod, which was designed for aquatic life.
The second SeaPod is the GreenPod, which was designed for land life.
The EcoPod, the third SeaPod, is a sustainable, environmentally friendly option.
The pods are elevated offshore structures that are outfitted with a variety of luxurious features.
All of the pods are similar in appearance and feature 575 square feet of panoramic windows and a patio with unobstructed scenic views.
Each pod owner will be given a ring that allows them to control everything from the lighting and temperature to the shower heat and pressure.
It only takes a wave of the hand to unlock doors, play music, and perform other housing-related tasks.
Drones will be used to deliver food, medicine, and other necessities to the pods.
Larger vessels will be used for larger deliveries, such as furniture and luggage.
A self-sailing vessel will handle trash collection.
These SeaPods are only available in Panama, with prices ranging from $295,000 to $1.5 million depending on upgrades and customization.
Ocean Builders intends to deliver the first 100 custom pods by the end of 2023, followed by the second 1,000 pods in 2024.
