The nearest Airport to reach Hampi is the Hubli Airport, which is about 160 km. away. Alternatively, you can a flight to Kempegowda Airport at Bengaluru followed by Hampi Express train to reach Hospet. Once you reach Hospet, continue via Road to Hampi from Hospet.
Bengaluru is well connected by air with all major cities of the country and caters to international flights as well.
The nearest railway station is at Hospet, which is about 13 km. from Hampi. From outside the railway station, you will get a bus to Hampi, and you do not have to walk up to the main bus stand of Hospet.
Hospet railway station is well connected with the major cities of India, likewise Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi.

KSRTC (Karnataka State Roadways Transport Corporation) Buses are available from all major cities not only from Karnataka state but also you can get buses from Maharashtra, Goa, and Andhra Pradesh states.
After you reached Hospet terminus, take a rickshaw or a bus to the main bus stand, and take a bus to Hampi.
Hampi is a historical town, and the one who loves history must visit this place; it is like literally walking through the history, you might not be able to get such an amazing experience anywhere in the country. Make sure to take your children with you so they too can know more about our history.
You can also visit the famous Virupaksha Temple and Hemakunta Hill.
